Hey can anyone tell me the best kind of paint to use? I'm trying to make some merch for my band and I don't really know what would be best to use for our t shirts and stuff. If anyone could please help me I would love you forever! Thank you! ^_^ |

| Stencils. |

Here's some stencils I made earlier. They're definitely not the best (I'm new to making them), but I tried. Take 'em if you want 'em :) And if anyone would like to clean them up for me.. be my guest :P

I do plan on doing some/all of these, as well as other ones, so I'll post with pictures once they're done. |

this is my second shirt and, well. it sucks.
it came out VERY grainy and the paint didn't do do a thing i wanted it to.
i used delta acrylic and delta textile medium. i read in a few tutorials that that is what's supposed to be mixed, but it didn't make any sense to me concidering "textile" would make it have, well, texture, and all i want is for it to look like it's almost apart of the shirt.
i am so dfhdkfg over this. the stencil was VERY hard to cut out and took me all night. and now i have to do it over since i am pretty sure i am going to scrap this. it's for a friends birthday in 5 days and i fear i'm not ever going to get this done.
here are some pictures of the tragedy. any advice, critques, everything, are welcome. my family is so tremendously biased and says it's fine, when i KNOW it isnt.

I feel so bad because this is probably a very simple question, I have read the memories of at least 4 different communities, and I'm trying to find out what I can use to make my stencils out of, and everything says Freezer Paper! However, we don't have that in Australia (well we probably do, but I bet the brand is different and I don't have time to test them all out lol) one also said cardboard or contact paper - will these really work? I'm assuming by contact it just means the kind you use to cover books.
I guess after that I just need fabric paint and a roller!?
Any help would be great! |

| silkscreening anyone? |
[Mar. 20th, 2006|05:06 pm]

Hey all, so I got this speedball silkscreening kit...and I made a stencil and it turned out great...but I can't get the screen filler fluid off of the screen. I haven't really scrubbed at it because I'm afraid I'll rip the screen or something equally terrible will happen. Any methods I should try? Thanks in advance :) |
